STALLERGENES IS CONTINUING ITS DEVELOPMENT AND CREATING VALUE IN FRANCE

Inauguration of the administrative headquarters

Stallergenes inaugurated its new administrative headquarters in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine (France) on May 24, 2011 in a ceremony attended by Mr. Patrick Devedjian, Member of Parliament and President of the Hauts-de-Seine Local Council, and Doctor Isao Teshirogi, Chairman of Shionogi & Co., Ltd, a leading Japanese pharmaceutical company and Stallergenes’ strategic partner in Japan.
This new building, constructed to meet the strictest HQE/BBC environmental standards, will be able to house 200 employees, making it possible to increase the surface area dedicated to Research & Development. A company with an economic model based on innovation, Stallergenes has made a cumulative investment of 170 million euros in R&D since 2004.
“Stallergenes is the proof that it is possible to succeed in France through a combination of innovation and industry. Our role is to create the conditions for this performance", stated Patrick Devedjian, Member of Parliament and President of the Hauts-de-Seine Council.

Inauguration of a raw materials production site

On January 20, 2011, Stallergenes inaugurated its new raw materials production site located in Amilly, in the Loiret region of France.
This production site is now dedicated to the harvesting and processing of five grass pollens used to make allergen immunotherapy treatments and, in particular, Oralair® grass pollen sublingual immunotherapy tablets.
Designed in accordance with pharmaceutical production standards, this new site incorporates the production of grass pollens and thereby ensures optimum control of raw materials. Stallergenes has developed a unique process for the production and processing of raw materials as active pharmaceutical ingredients in order to secure the quality of its products and meet the increasingly strict standards of health agencies.
“Thanks to the investment in the Amilly site, Stallergenes now becomes the world's leading producer of house dust mites and pollens for pharmaceutical use. These investments and substantial R&D efforts in France have been achieved by working jointly with scientific public bodies competent in this field" said Albert Saporta, Chairman and CEO of Stallergenes.
