Contraindications

• Serious immune deficiency
• Malignant disease
• Treatment with beta-blockers, even those administered locally (drops)
• Severe asthma uncontrolled by drug treatment (FEV₁ <=70% of predicted, even after drug treatment)
• Non-compliant patient

 
Relative contraindications

• Children under 5 years of age
• During pregnancy (for the progression phase of therapy)
