Description:
Timothy is a fodder plant which grows to a height of between 40 and 150 centimeters. It consists of greenish gray or purple tufts of between 6 and 15
centimeters in size.
Where they are found:
Timothy is common in fields and grassland in Europe, Africa and northern Asia. It is also found in North and South America, South Africa</st1:country-region> and Australia.

Allergy:
Inhaling timothy pollen can induce rhinitis (hay fever) and conjunctivitis.
To avoid exposure:
- do not go walking in the grass during the pollination season;
- when you come in from outside, wash your hair so that pollen is not transferred onto your pillow;
- use air conditioning rather than keeping windows wide open.
