Description:

A fodder grass, cocksfoot is a hardy plant which forms large clumps. It is white and green, and grows very quickly to a height of between 30 centimeters and one meter.


Where they are found:

Mainly in Europe, North America and Japan. It usually grows in fields and grassland.

Allergy:

Inhaling cocksfoot pollen can induce rhinitis (hay fever) and conjunctivitis.
To avoid exposure:
- do not go walking in the fields during the pollination season;
- when you come in from outside, wash your hair so that pollen is not transferred onto your pillow;
- use air conditioning rather than keeping windows wide open.
