Name:Honey bee
Scientific name:Apis mellifera

Description:
A bee's body is between 11 and 18 millimeters long, is black in color with orange bands, and is covered in fine hairs. As in all hymenoptera, it is divided into three different parts. Bees have a tongue which they use when gathering the nectar from plants and in the making of honey. The female ovipositor can be converted into a stinging apparatus which injects venom into target skin by means of a barbed sting (which remains in the skin afterwards). Losing its sting kills the bee.
