- Serious immune deficiency
- Malignant disease
- Treatment with beta-blockers, even those administered locally (drops)
- Severe asthma uncontrolled by drug treatment (FEV1 <=70% of the predicted value, even after drug treatment)
- Non-compliant patient

- During pregnancy
